the journey so far

A valedictorian in high school with a love for math and literature, Austin also had a strong creative streak—winning awards for writing and photography.

Pursuing her love of storytelling, she studied film production at Loyola Marymount University. There, she quickly found her niche in Assistant Directing, where her ability to juggle complex logistics with creative needs, think strategically under pressure, and keep productions moving set her apart.

Academic Career

After college, she took that expertise into the freelance world, AD’ing fast-paced indie films, web series, commercials, and music videos before stepping into studio production at NFL Network.

From there, she transitioned into producing commercial photography at a startup, Catalog, working with beauty and lifestyle brands in an agency-style environment. Here, she got her first experience building teams, creating systems to improve efficiency, and consulting on internally-developed production management software.

Early Career

Moving deeper into the tech space, Austin took on a producing role at Snap Inc., working in an in-house studio environment to create a wide range of marketing, educational, narrative, and product assets across photo, video, print, digital, and experiential & event production.

In the team’s early days, she played a key role in expanding global production capabilities, establishing operational procedures, and designing the foundational infrastructure that supported the team's rapid growth. A leader amongst her peers, she trained teams, managed cross-functional projects, provided regular guidance to her colleagues and oversaw a team of contractors.

Previous Role

After four years at Snap, Austin returns to the core of what first drew her to this path—storytelling and its profound emotional impact. Bringing together her expertise in production, strategy, and team leadership, she is eager to create work that not only captivates but also inspires and connects.
